Just got back from lunch at Ruby Tuesday's with GoodMan and then grocery shopping. I'm feeding 8 these days since my DS, DIL, and 4 grands have been living with us since January (soon to move out since they're in process of buying a house). This is not a big challenge since I grew up in a big family and raised 6 boys, but figuring out how to change to healthy options is proving more difficult.
I've purchased salmon, trout, and talapia, all of which will draw groans from the children and most of the adults. I also loaded up on veggies and fruits. They don't complain too much about the fruit, but the veggies? Oh, my! This family is used to cheesy casseroles and sweet desserts...I fully expect to hear "Who are you, and what have you done with my mother/wife/grandma?" My son's family only has to deal with it for a couple more weeks, but GoodMan is in for a whole new lifestyle!
