Lynn, Ok, well, the way I see things everything happens for a reason, whatever the reason, whether it is your choice, his choice or both of you deciding to not go through with marriage right now. Physically and mentally both of you have to be ready for a big step like marriage. Whatever the case I hope you keep on track with your success! As I said you are an inspiration!  

I was 53 when I met the love of my life…we were married the same year & have been blissfully married for 8 yrs. The reason I’m sharing this is because when I was your age I was in a terrible marriage…left after many years and had given up on my hearts desire. I didn’t think it really existed…just wait for it, life will surprise you!!! I took “me time” off for 2 while years…it was the best thing I ever did. Take every morning to look into your eyes in the mirror and know you matter most, smile even if through tears. Then hug yourself every night & sleep with a cozy “something” that makes you feel better. Cheers to you for all of the courage you have!!! 

Hey, it's okay. The right time will come sooner or later. I am not married nor engaged or know anything much about marriage, but when you realize it's time, you will understand and know when.
