egdw's Journal, 01 Mar 14

What a wonderful day. It's been raining all night here in Paradise and Its Gray and cloudy, but a cloudy day in Paradise is better than a day with wind chill warnings back home. My journals are always a day late here because by the end of the day when I like to Journalize, FS flips me to a different time zone. So, I'm recording yesterday. Worked out with hubby in the workout area burning close to 200 calories on the recumbent bike. We couldn't go snorkelling as planned so we ended up simply driving around the island. The surf was up and the waves were magnificent. The surfers were in their glory. Saw more whales breaching. Stopped at a shrimp truck for lunch. Well...there was so much butter in that shrimp that it was really disgusting. Couldn't eat it all. But it was good if you like buttery shrimp. Supper was at the Cheesecake Factory ...famous in our home from the Big Bang theory. Their Skinnylicious Asian chicken salad is delicious. Didn't notice the salt content until I went home later and entered it in my food diary....Holy Cow...over 1 days worth of salt in 1 salad. So it was a butter and salt kind of day. It will take me another day to process all that. This a.m., I'm off to the gym to work out again with hubby. No specific plans today...not a beach kind of day as it's too wet so maybe we'll just relax. I feel good about staying on track with FS. I'm grateful for my iPad. Just got a text from my kid back home who says "it's awful here"... Referring of course to the horrible weather there. I am truly privileged to be here and I am thankful for time to rejuvenate my body and mind, great family and friends and FS buddies who encourage and support.
