Flex Friday. So weight loss is very slow but I don't want to screw up by going too fast and losing muscle and strength like I did last time I cut. Back in August or so I could only bench 225 for 5 reps. Today I got 300 for 5 and 325 for 2 shortly after. I think the extra protein is helping because I've actually gotten stronger since I was 215+. I don't know why I dropped it again, I noticed an increase in strength last time I was getting a higher percentage as well. I guess my love for carbs+fat combos makes it harder to get as much lol. I'm currently at 205 pounds. My goal is to bench 2x my body weight again eventually. Last time I could do that I was 175 pounds. Funny enough, I was on a low protein diet then but age was on my side.

I think it's good to have multiple goals to distract from slower progress that will actually stick. Measurements, strength goals, etc

But wow, am I chubby here lol, sorry I know I'm not really, was just looking at pics from August and all of the last 3 years. Need to get back there

I think I can be stronger and much leaner. I just did too much cardio plus the gyms were closed for a while so my strength was quite reduced. In some of my better pics, I was looking a lot better and still able to get 250 for a set of 10. I'd be happy there, but 300x10 is so nice lol
