TXSnowman's Journal, 30 Jan 14

Long day yesterday. Didn't get a single break between clients from 10 am until 8:00 PM. Then I stayed at the office until 11 pm to work on backlogged work. Got home at 11:30 and in bed by midnight. Up again at 5 to do some yoga and the stair master. Breakfast is done and now its back to the office. My calendar shows that I don't have a break today from open to close again, and that won't account for trying to squeeze in the clients that come in without appointments. Can't wait until next week when my son is here to pick up some of the work load. I can't believe that I'm already 1/4 of the way through the season. 25 days down / 75 days to go! Time sure flies when you're having fun! That's not being facetious. It really makes my days enjoyable when they are that busy and productive. I feel blessed to have this wonderful career, my unbelievably great family, my much improved health, and all of you GREAT FS Buddies!

Well, I hope that all you fine folks have a wonderful day. I know that we only get so many days, so lets make the most of them and enjoy each one as if it were the precious, timeless, unrecoverable, treasure that it is!

I bet this year having shed all that weight, you're feeling a lot better and handling the workload better. I' m glad work is going well for you. Just think in 3 months, you'll not only be finished the main thrust of your work, but also way healthier and able to enjoy your life a lot more without caring around all that extra weight. Congratulations. Keep it up. You're an inspiration and an example to many. Way to go!

egdw, your absolutely correct. The straw that broke the camel's back and got me going to living healthier was the fact that last year at the end of the season, I ended up in the hospital. Wasn't really healthy enough to handle the long hours, I guess. Now, I feel great. Besides losing the weight and improving my strength and endurance, I put a full size refrigerator and a full sized grill / griddle in the office so that I can keep and cook nutritious meals here instead of grabbing junk food. I also make a point of getting up a couple of hours early and exercising every morning before I come to the office. I do 30 min of yoga first, and then on M-W-F I do weight lifting and T-TH-Sa I do aerobics. Sundays, I hike the dogs. I try to do core exercises most days, as well. That way, by the time I start work, I feel that I'm already ahead for the day. No matter what else happens, I got my exercise in for the day!
