Mileage run: 4 Total Mileage: 5.5 Temperature: 7 Winds: 15 mph

It wasn't pretty, but it is complete. Although I was wearing three layers of clothing, which included under armor cold gear tech shirt, t-shirt, and nike therma-dry hoodie, under my big coat with a faux fur hood(the one that fit me 65 pounds ago), ear muffs, scarf and gloves, I do not think I actually sweated. Don't get me wrong. I was trying to sweat. I was trying to move faster with each step. My neighbors probably though a Yeti had descended from the mountains of Tibet and was loose in the neighborhood running up and down the street. It was so cold that I believe I don't have to worry about losing weight anymore considering that I am losing complete body parts. Yes, friends, at one point I believe my entire left butt cheek froze, crystallized, fell onto the icy pavement and shattered.

I took the neurotic running partner of a dog with me too since it was dark and I figured at worst her solid white coat would be reflective. I forgot that it takes her three straight miles of dodging back in front of me, tripping me, repeatedly yanking my shoulder out of socket and habitually peeing before she remembers it is her job to jog quietly next to me on the right.

Other than that, it was a great time. I am happy they cleared the roads enough to run some because another night of no running might have made me homicidal. I am teenager-poor at the moment thanks to car insurance, activity fees, and college prep, so it doesn't look like a treadmill or gym membership is in the near future for me. Right now I am sitting at 822 calories for the day and this wasn't intended to be a fast day. No one is home for me to have to fix dinner. I'm not really hungry at all. I'm thinking what is going to be in my near future (as soon as I get back from throwing hay to the horses) is a nice glass of wine and/or shot of moonshine with a long bubble bath to warm me up.

Thank God Its Friday.

Thanks for the virtual tour of your run. It's been over 10 years since I had to bundle up to go outside, but it was never as bad as that. I was wearing shorts earlier this week, but had to put on sweatpants yesterday and today because it only got into the low 70's. But by next weekend it'll be back in the low 80's. We have a hard time fathoming when we see the weather elsewhere as we watch the evening news. Yeah, I'm out in the desert of central Arizona. Promise you will feel sorry for me this June as we begin our 4 month 100-degree-every-day summer :-) Best wishes, and be careful out there!

Wow, great story, to bad you can't post a picture of you in your running gear! I take my dog sometimes as well, I bet your also good at doing 360 turns without breaking stride because the leash is wrapping around you… lol

Wow - wow - wow. I'm impressed! All that running with all that gear and a neurotic dog! I actually noticed Mushy was trying to trot along side me the other day and thought about trying a little jog with her somewhere that isn't the sidewalk (our sidewalks are virtual deathtraps - uneven ...random poles ... traffic) and see what we could do.. I may put my sneakers in the car and try a path somewhere :-)

I so admire your stamina, 2MC! Oh, to be young again, LOL! Just be careful out there, especially with a crazy doggie yanking you all over. You don't want to fall on the slippery ice. I'm disabled & very paranoid about falling down, & especially on ice. We don't get much snow here, but lots of frost & ice. I just hole up & wait till it goes away before even going walking, LOL.
