Whew...my logged weight is showing an increase, but that is nothing compared to what I weighed in as yesterday. Yesterday was 197.8. In 24 hours I drank 130 ounces of water and completed a lc IF day. I am happy to see 5.2 pounds gone. I know that it was all water weight that I have lost. But, it helps me feel a little more certain that I had mostly gained water weight last week. Although I am missing the sunshine, especially with the current frigid temperatures, I am happy to be back at home and eating cleaner.

I went through photos from the vacation. Well, folks, let's just say that I have a long way to go. There were far more unflattering photos than flattering. Someone should remind my husband that it is never ok to take a photo of me in a bathing suit. That being said, I look forward to the day when I can look at photos of myself and actually like what I see. Or, not have to insist on the photo being taken from the chest up only. My husband looks amazing. He looks like he should be in movies. He has already reached his goal weight...and then dropped even more. Meanwhile, I'm still looking at another 55 pounds or so to go. I'm very proud of him. But, I must say that I'd like to look less like the odd couple in photos together. He had to come to my rescue this morning as I got stranded on my way to work. Apparently 1/4 tank does not equate to 1/4 tank when it is this cold outside. Nothing makes you miss the Caribbean more than waiting for help to arrive when you are stranded in your vehicle and it is exactly 0 degrees outside.

I have not worked out since I got home. The freezing rain detoured me from my run yesterday. And, I didn't bother climbing onto my stationary bike either. Today will be different though. I am really missing a long, quiet run. I may have to bundle up like an Eskimo to accomplish it though. there are a couple of races coming up in January that I'd like to participate in. I'm just waiting for my on-call schedule to be put out so I can determine if I can sign up for any of them. I'd really like to get a full marathon under my belt by the end of 2014. If I'm going to dream, might as well dream big.

Good recovery - I knew it was water weight as did you. Yup - something about this cold weather - Cutty always made me keep the gas tank FULL despite my natural tendency to run on fumes. Hope you get that run in - seems to center you.

WTG, 2MC! We all knew it was mostly water-weight, but it sure does help to see it come off quick. Nice work. YES, never let the gas tank get below half when it is this cold out. Water condensation from the air can actually accumulate on the insides of the tank, and if water gets in the engine, forget it.
