I have been extremely overweight my whole life and I have tried many things to lose weight and have been unsuccessful every time. Recently I went to an endocrinologist to talk about the thyroid problem that my gp diagnosed me with, only to find out I don’t have a thyroid problem but I am genetically insulin resistant and it has caused my thyroid to become under active and only after treatment will I be able to lose weight. I had to get my insulin levels below twenty and so since January I alhave been eating NO carbs and absolutely NO sugar while taking the correct thyroid medicine and have lost 16kg so far
