Annabelle3117's Journal, 19 Dec 13

Rise and shine fatsecreteers! The powers that be have decided that my day wasn't complicated enough so they threw a sick client at me. Well the joke is on them because now I only have to work until 2, rather than being off from 9-3 then working the evening shift. So nana nana boo boo, stick your head in doo doo, powers that be. I will probably regret that statement lol. Off work tomorrow!!!

I baked over nine dozen sugar cookies yesterday, and only ate one! Today after work I will be baking oatmeal raisin and peanut butter kiss cookies. Tomorrow... chocolate chip lol. Then ill be done. Getting closer to my weight last Friday, grateful for that. I'm not refraining from eating the sweets because I'm a diet freak that refuses to enjoy the holiday, I'm refraining to prove to myself that I can, and that the food doesnt make the holiday. I will enjoy here and there but this is my first 'skinny' christmas and its a very educational experience. The carb monster gets to me if I don't keep him at bay, (thinking about buying a taser and giving him a jolt or two) so I'm learning to enjoy in moderation. All the times in the past when I was super heavy and binged it was always carbs, junk ones to boot. Being aware of that only makes me stronger.

Happy Thirsty Thursday!

Good for you that you are learning to restrain yourself by only eating a doz...uh...only one cookie!!! lol!! I refuse to let myself get crazy with the food this Christmas. I will do the same thing I did for Thanksgiving, and just enjoy everything in moderation! The cookies sound so good!! I haven't baked any cookies for Christmas in quite a few years. I am going to make my FIL his favorite this year. He loves fried walnuts. I found the recipe for them back in the '90's and tweaked it. The original is just made with some sugar, and I added some cinnamon and nutmeg. They are quite addicting!! Have fun with your day off too!!!

I could not handle the cookies. I bake cakes and pies... you can tell if I snitch something with those. If I had cookies, I would rationalize that I needed to taste them to see if they are good. And then I would eat at least 1 doz.... So given my food addictions - no cookies get to my household

Fried walnuts sound delicious puma, I could probably eat my own body weight in them lol. I have to taste the cookies too alex but I'm trying to learn how to be moderate in portions. Craziest thing happened though, I opened the fridge to find a snack and a buckeye jumped in my mouth!! Damn buckeyes lol say a prayer for your buddy :-)
