Annabelle3117's Journal, 19 Dec 13

I can't seem to sleep with all of these thoughts in my head, so bare with me through this 'way past my bedtime' rambling. Did I spell bare properly... surely its not bear... still doesn't seem right. Anywho...

Ate an extra slice of pizza at dinner, heaven forbid! Somehow I don't think its going to make or break me on the scale tomorrow. Got another busy day ahead, xmas shopping from 9-11 then gym at noon. Thankfully I'm not working tomorrow afternoon as my son is having his xmas program. Hes going to be one of the three wisemen, super excited. My MIL is taking us to McD's afterwards... hooray :-/ ill have to remember to compensate when I'm crunching the numbers in the a.m. What I really need are some qualitly groceries in this damn place, lacking in the protein department. Ill try to find some good meats while I'm out and about.

Thinking about my new fitness goals for 2014, the big one being running. I need some support, my flab flops when I jog. How disheartening. Oh and I think the girls are down like a cup size. Ah well, I highly doubt anyone will think I looked better morbidly obese with jugs a poppin. I'm secretly hoping for gift cards this christmas so I can buy my own clothes. Love my mom to pieces but although her scrawny ass wears only junior style clothes she likes to dress me like I'm eighty. Jeez mom, I'm fat not old! Well I'm not fat anymore (despite the fact you 150 pounders claim that your fat) but I still fear the grandma clothes. Maybe ill buy some real athletic gym wear so I don't have to go in my old baggy clothes. Or not lol we will see.

So back to the running, I would like to set a goal of so many miles per week... walk/jog/run but I'm jot sure how many is a good place to start. I can probably get three run sessions in a week and still accomodate my normal cardio/strength.. What do ya'll think?

Welp here comes the hubs so its lights out for this chic. Hoping to catch some quality z's. Goodnight everyone :-)

I highly recommend that you work a running program. I use Jeff Galloway on my iphone religiously. There is also Couch 2 5K. The focus initially shouldn't be so much on completing a distance as running for a certain time...ie. 15 minutes. Also get compression shorts/pants. Trust me. It holds everything in place and reduces chafing. Old Navy has pretty good sport bras with compression features that hold the girls in place too (relatively cheap--I think $10 if you catch them on sale). You should definitely go to a running store to ensure a proper fit for shoes and good running socks. Nothing will set you back faster in running than painful blisters and lost toenails. Just go ahead and sign up for your first 5K. You don't have to run the entire thing. Just jump in there and give it a try.

Want to respond to the flopping flab or as I fondly refer to it... jiggling jelly. Compression clothing. I use them when I go for my compression test. Compacts everything. Under Armour also makes them. I got mine at Target (use cash!!!). They have tops and bottoms. My bottoms resemble peddle pushers. Tight little buggers and hold it all in place. Check out 2nd hand shops and maybe Good Will too. Remember, don't beat yourself up. We are all tempted. And I admit to failing miserably to resisting. So I gave up and I eat and will begin over on the 1st. Enjoy your holidays and set your goals for the new year.

Thank you both for your suggestions, I'm going to lookinto some compression clothing asap. I've never heard of them before, oddly enough. Now that I think about it, I don't know anyone in real life who has lost weight of any signifigance so why would I. I will also be looking into thaf couch to 5k. I had another friend that was using that but I forgot it existed. I would sign up for a 5k now but there is nothing available in my area until late spring. I will keep looking though!
