Just a quick journal this evening to document day 10 of black coffee. Had a bit too much diary last 2 days but DH is home and it is easier for me to just plan one menu that we both can eat - got to find balance somehow.

Way to go Buffy...I know that had to be a real adjustment not using dairy in you coffee...its easier to fix one meal for two than just one person...

Kudos to you for no dairy. But I am weak and still use almond milk. Would probably be better off, but it's one of those things I don't think I could give up. You're a toughie.

Classic - Nothing wrong with almond milk! For me, it is just too watery in the coffee to substitute for my beloved cream. BTW - We are both toughies!

How about some non-dairy milk, Buffy Bear? As you know, I've been dairy free since I was 13 years old. My easiest milk is hemp milk, but some raw hulled hemp seeds and blend 3.5 to 1, water to hemp, and keep it in the refrigerator. I usually make one a week, but you can keep it for longer. I also make almond milk with rooibus instead of vanilla. I like mine unsweetened, but you could use dates for sweetness.

BTW, if you make the almond milk, you control the wateriness. I have to water mine down. And you can make it with soaked almonds or, if that takes too much time, raw almond butter.
