Its hump day, and I hope everyone is doing great!!
I had a little disappointment yesterday. My niece won't be moving down here after all. She had an appointment with her OBGYN and they have found that she has endometriosis, and may have some cysts. She is scheduled for surgery in January. I know it is an outpatient type of procedure, and that at most she will have an over night stay. Poor girl is scared right now, and I understand. I know that staying there and being close to her dad is what she'll need right now. Her hubby wants her close too, just in case she has any complications.
I think it is a good idea, and also it keeps my little Mindy from getting taken from one school, put i another, and then missing school from her step moms surgery, and Angie not being able to get her to school, etc!!
I told her I could take care of her, but it just isn't the same thing. She'll be fine. I also told her that we can start looking in Feb or Mar for another place for them here. Maybe it was for the best.

Didn't go to the gym today. Been feeling a little yucky. I think it is because of the colder weather. Got a little congestion, and having a little trouble getting it loosened up. That kind of comes with the COPD territory. I just have to keep my albuteral handy, use a little peppermint in some tea and I'll be good to go!!

My crochet has been coming along nicely, and I had to laugh at my ATS neighbors son. I took a pair of fingerless gloves over to try on his sister, to make sure they fit, and to find out her reaction to them. Well, he wanted to try them on too!!! She's 5 and he's 6. I let hem try them on, and he just giggled and was running around and looking at them!! I got them back from him, and told him I'm glad he liked them, but I didn't think he wanted a pair of pink and purple lacy girly gloves...lol!! He said no, he wanted a pair of mens type gloves. Like work gloves he said. He is suck a pickle that boy! So,, I made him a pair of Iron man gloves!! Yellow at the wrist, red at the main part, and little white circles trimmed in gray that will be sewn on the palms. I know he will love them!! Seems like I have a bunch to make, and I'm glad they work up really fast!!

As for the Iron man gloves, I couldn't find a pattern I really liked, so I made my own. I even made my own yarn bowl too!! Those things are ridiculously expensive!! Mine cost all of $5 and a little time with a dremmel sanding some rough spots. I went to Lowes, and got the last 8" terracotta saucer they had, and got a nice terracotta orchid pot, also 8". Sand off all the rough spots on the drain hole and rims. Thread yarn through the bottom drain hole, put yarn ball on saucer and them turn pot upside down over yarn!! Easy!! and it keeps the cats from attacking the ball!! Later on I can either spray the inside of the pot and saucer with some clear urethane glaze, or paint it. I like it as is for now!!

Well enough about me and my last few days, I hope everyone is having a great week!! We got a little snow here on Tuesday, and I'm just not ready for it!!! I used to love it, but with me meeting up with "Arthur" I hate the cold now. Glad my pain meds are working good!! Finally!!

Have a wonderful hump day everybody!!!

Way more creative than I ever could be! Yeah, this weather sucks- it's supposed to get up to 60 by Monday, so no wonder people get sick. Good to hear your meds are helping you :)

I used to love to crochet but too much pain now to hold a needle. It was very relaxing and hard to 'stop'... I once made one of those 'granny square' patterns and before I finally quit it was larger than a king sized bed.
