Hello FS Family

I hope everyone is doing well. It's been a while since I've posted anything. I guess I haven't had much to say about my journey that is strictly food/ weight related in some members view. For me this weight loss journey is very much a part of my personal and emotional life. Happy content life = I don't eat emotionally.

So... I am still here. Fighting the emotional roller coaster. Trying different things to fill the need and not resorting to food. It has been getting harder recently. I've been doing very well in the past months but lately I have been turning to food (sweets my💖) and even its not filling the need. For some reason it doesnt taste as sweet as it use to. It doesnt fill the need like the void seems even deeper. So of course, I cant figure out why but do end up eating more and still emptiness. I send everyone who is having this struggle much 💗 as this is new to me. Its a b*#$@

More on the food/exercise side, can anyone recommend a running app that helps you build a running plan if you're beginner-ish.

Don't know who said a post has to be food/weight related but for me, what's going on/my feelings and how I deal with it all is very much intertwined with my eating. People are free to scroll on by if they want... My go to is sweets, specifically pb m&m's. Not so much when under stress, but after the situation is over and I feel relieved THEN I want to binge. Of course, then I feel like crap. It's a never ending battle...sigh...

I hear you RC. It is a guilt provoking cycle. I hate it. It’s true what I’ve read in the past. That some of us reward or comfort ourselves with food. I don’t have a go to sweets. I don’t discriminate lol. Yesterday for me it was ice cream with sprinkles in a waffle cone, but then it wasn’t enough. Like not sweet enough so I thought maybe salty - chips some fries and before I knew it I had all that and 3 glassses Of wine!!

I don't know about building a running plan, but there is a cool running app where it looks like zombies are running after you and you have to swerve or increase speed in order to avoid them.

I love the ZR5K! It's the app with the zombies! Tells a story along the way and lets you listen to your own music. Lot's of fun!

I totally agree with Rckc and other comments...and you! I've never not been hungry when happy, sad or stressed. I privately think people who say they "forget to eat" are fibbing 🤥. My go to is salty carbs...PIZZA is king.😂

Hi Everyone, I too have an emotional eating issue, but yesterday, I was given the solution. You see, we are all going through a change in who we are and we are all being asked to step up. I am a Healing Minister/psychic/medical intuitive but have had the issue for most of my life. Here is a possible solution for you, if you are game. Start by understanding that those of us with the issue are actually trying to appease our heart by appeasing our taste buds. Shoving food down our throat that is adding to our weight issue will not compensate for not feeling our best. Our habits need to change. We can start by saying, "I am part of God (and/or Goddess) and I no longer wish to comply with my lower animal needs." Then say the following three times: "The habits that have destroyed me are no longer part of my reality." Then finish with "Please implement this request now God (and/or Goddess). And So It is. AMEN. As soon as I said that, my cravings left and I am not feeling the need to eat anything other than my diet foods today.

I subscribe to Fit radio. It has treadmill, elliptical, bike, and actually hiking and running plans that I can follow. I do the bike one alot.

I can totally relate to your experience with food and emotions. They are linked for me. On days when I am happy (usually when I have so much work to do that I don't have time to think too much), I have made it to way past lunch time before I think about eating. But on days when I am sitting around, having a bunch of negative and irritated feelings, I feel like I am looking into the fridge or cabinets every hour. This struggle is real! Also, don't worry about what you think other people want to see you post on here. This app is about improving your health and mental health is a huge part of that. Feel free to vent your struggles if that helps you. I'm happy to pay forward all the encouragement I have gotten from the FSF and click the support button for you <3.

What you say is so rough and ever so relatable. It is so easy to turn to the temporary "comfort" of food when feeling stressed and awful. Some days I feel so strong and I can just turn away... And other seasons... Not so much. Journal anything you want. Everything in our lives impacts this journey one way or another. Hang in there!! Oh, and I use "map my walk" for a running app.

You can use FS however you need to to meet your goals. Everything is life and life affects weight. We have all (or most of us anyhow) learned to ignore what we don't want to read or see.

Your journal is yours. You do you. If others don't like it, they can scroll past. It is hard sometimes to feel your best. Life happens. Covid happened. But... tomorrow is a new day. See it with the eyes of a happy child. The world is full of beauty. And not all good food is bad for you!

Oh Aint - pizza 🍕 is dangerous for me. Even worse cold pizza 😋 I won’t even bring it in the house anymore. I’ll eat the whole pie!! I’ve done it in the past a bite here and there and by bedtime it’s all gone.

Thanks crm. I’m grateful for the support and the FSF. 💕 Especially since talking about weight loss, etc.. with people I know is impossible. They just don’t get it.
