Nurse called. Dr didn’t say anything about my labs other than my low blood glucose. She wants me to get a meter and start testing. The nurse was shocked when I told her I’d eaten half a cinnamon roll a couple hours before. Guess I’ll research meters, strips and lance thingies.

low blood sugar might explain some of your symptoms

Yeah. But the dr had me eat before the gym for a week and I still had symptoms. Once I ate a full mea about an hour before. The other times I had snacks an hour before. One was a snickers so high sugar. Unless my body just uses the sugar quickly. My labs showed low blood sugar 2 hours after finishing biscuits and gravy, half an omelette, half a large cinnamon roll and two diet cokes. When I do fasting Labs they usually show 90-100 glucose. 🤷‍♀️ I’m guessing my blood sugar is high of a morning and lowers as the day progresses.

I’m looking at the freestyle precision neo. It’s reasonably priced and the strips don’t cost an arm and a leg. Will see if the insurance will cover it or not. If not then probably the rely on one from Walmart for like $30 with a months worth of strips. The nurse said today that they want me to test every morning for a week at least and anytime I have any symptoms or feel off. Then we will go from there as to testing every day, before/after meals etc. No idea if they’ll want me testing just for a bit or like long term.
