It has been a serious struggle for me, but I have finally reached a huge milestone...I’m finally in the 140’s!!! 20 more pounds to go 😃 I am on the Keto diet ( I have tried every single diet out there, even a wasted year on WW) and have learned that the only time I am not craving “bad” food and not a miserable mess because I can’t have it, or because I had it and feel Hugely guilty. Is with the Keto diet.
With Keto once I passed 2 weeks, my cravings were gone. For me it’s the easiest “diet” to follow, and so far I have been successful. Don’t get me wrong, there are days I crave things but they are light cravings and easily pushed out of mind. I’m not here to promote one diet or another, just saying what is working for me. I wish you all success on whatever “diet journey” you are on 😊

I'm trying low carb eating...10 carbs max/day. I say to people and think to myself, "it's not that I Can't have certain foods & treats; It's I Choose not to have, etc, ect" This way I feel in control of excluding items; not a punishment. Good luck😻

Glad you like Keto diet but I think WW is the right diet for me. You can eat anything as long as you keep to 23 Smart Pts a day and you also have an extra 35 Smart Pts to work with. I find Keto diet cut out carbs, I need my carbs.

It is important to do what is right for you, well done! What is right for me is taking the recommended daily intakes for eg fat, fibre, sodium, protein etc and then using this program to decide how I spend my allowance each day - no food barred - just choices - so far so good!

Can you give an example of the meals you eat. I tried it but only got about 700 cal for the full day and felt sick the next day...

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement! fatsecret and all the great people here have definitely been a huge part of my success! All your great pics, recipe and words of advice and support during the good day’s and failures (and there are and were many lol) are very much appreciated:) keto was very hard for me at first, I felt so sick, dizzy, grumpy and headaches for about the first 5-7 days, but once I got through that part I felt great! Today I have SO much energy and I am getting so much done, my home and yard have never looked better, I also sleep great now (up every Morning at 3AM and could not get back to sleep prior to Keto) AND no more gallbladder attacks, and that doesn’t even include how much weight I have lost. Once you get in the habit of eating Keto it becomes second nature and no thought is needed. I just make sure the house is stocked with plenty of meat, cheese, above ground veggies , eggs, berries and some Keto snacks (like Keto chocolate and Keto bars as well as pork rinds for those intense craving days) working from home makes it much easier, no pre prepping all your meals to pack and take to work and no “junk food pushing” co workers who seem to want to sabotage my efforts claiming Keto is dumb and unhealthy 😳

Why do I not lose weight on keto? 😩

are you using sweetener or sugar at all, Sharon? Both can cause you to become insulin resistance & then your body doesn't process glucose properly, sugar levels go up, body fat goes up. I found that I would be in ketosis yet stopped losing weight. I believe it was sweetener that was sabotaging my weight loss goals.
