I decided to increase my calories per day. For a couple of reasons. Im just a little nervous. I have always done 1500 calories a day and increasng it to 1800 is scary. Even though it is a silly thing to be scared about. I mean worst case scenario I gain two pounds and then I'll go back to the way it was. I think this will be good though. Part of the reason I am more successful this time than last time is I relieved the pressure of I have to hit caloric goal every day by focusing on making the goal for the week. So I think decreasing pressure will be good for me. Even if I am not losing weight as quickly.

Maybe ease your way up in small increments. It is what I did when I increased my calories.

Along with a calorie goal it is also important to maintain an activity level that will enable you to burn those calories. FS has a calculator that will help you find a good calorie amount for you that takes into consideration your age, height, current weight etc. best of luck to you. This is a lifestyle change, not just a “diet”. Rooting for you!

Generally, 200-500kcal increases are tolerable for even low active (training) people. Re-evaluate calories every month.
