Fritzy 22's Journal, 20 Mar 20

The whole state of California has been told to "stay at home", or shelter in place, a lockdown. We can still go to the grocery store, gas station, pharmacy, even order food to go at any open restaurant. I have a prescription to pick up today and was thinking of stopping in at the grocery store for milk and a few food items if it doesn't look crowded. I have enough food to last, maybe a month if I get to everything. I have a couple boxes of cream of wheat that I might start eating for breakfast as long as I have milk. Lots of rice and some bread in the freezer. Nothing for snacks, maybe that's a good thing!

Illinois, too. As long as I can still go for walks/runs- I think it is basically what we have been doing all week. Everyone started rumors about martial law. So far plan is to stay healthy, stay on track with my food and exercise and pray a lot more.

Glad you got your groceries! And had a nice outing with the dog. Mine’s due for a good outing; tug play, fitness exercises, and free shaping challenges at home only go so far for a dog’s happiness. (I sure wish the media would quit calling it a lockdown. That’s what we’ll end up with if people keep flouting the now-reasonable guidelines. Call me a rebel but I sure like being able to go outdoors and even stop by the hardware store.)

Thanks, Fritzy - Grocery stores and pharmacies are open in MI, and not mobbed anymore. Restocking is getting better, and the stores have shortened hours to do more cleaning. Our weather is changeable, and not yet warm enough for outdoor stuff. Yesterday it was 46° with strong wind gusts, today we'll only get up to 37°.
