velvetee's Journal, 28 Dec 19

So it took me the whole afternoon to clean the painting mess. Still happy we could paint together with my kid.

I am reading a great book by Julia Ross, and realise I don't have enough protein.
https://www.juliarosscures.com/amino-acids-diet-in-chronic-pain-management/
I've been knocked out in the past days, kidney stones. Maybe I should go back to eating breakfast as she recommends? I want to take amino acids for my chronic pain too. I already take multivitamins, krill oil, ashwagandha, probiotics, and B6.

A few of my meals. And a collage a friend sent, she thinks I look like a blonder version of Aja Volkman, an interesting take. Peace FS.

Looks so delicious!! Velvetee you are beautiful and have a beautiful soul and fun personality ☺️ I love that you paint with your son🥰😇 what are those spikey nut things? Fruit? We have no fun foods here. I like to take tumeric for my inflammation. Complex Vitamin B. Just got put on prescription Vitamin D 3 50,000 IU..... again. I’m chronic vitamin D insufficiency/ deficiency. I stay between 8 and 11 blood level and during prescription treatment only get up to 15-20 blood level. It seems to be a component of autoimmune disease. Why do you have chronic pain friend 🙁? I’m interested in hearing more about the one supplement.💜💚

Thanks velvetee 🤗 I need that in my life😂

Also, JC, thanks! The spikey nut things are lychees, fruit. Yes, my Vit D is low but it's normal for most of us, it's winter. I don't have chronic pain for the most part except for my back, but right now, I'm having a renal colic phase, unfortunately. Regarding my back, I had a car accident over 8 years ago and damaged my spine.

Sure🤗☺️♥️ my chronic pain is from a brutal slip and fall in 2005. 2 herniated discs lumbar and sacrum, total loss of cervical curve so my neck is completely straight, actually it somewhat now curves the wrong way. Herniation in neck C3-4, C4-5, C5-6, C6-7. Impingement, fluid loss and loss of disc height. And something where there’s a dislocation in 2 of them one goes one way and another the other so I had to be braced for my total hysterectomy. I think when injuries are old but severe we eventually live at a pain level that would be intolerable for others had it just happened. But you know, with the chronic pain those spinal injuries can flare like a MF😫 Plus RA and Fibromyalgia 😒 I love lychees 😋😋 I just have only had them 2 times and they were already taken out of the shell thingy😊 I just ordered the ash!! Thank you for sharing friend 🤗💜💚

@jcmama777, managing that combination of pain syndromes is such a challenge. I applaud your efforts!

Thank you Mira🤗☺️ I used to be on Hydrocodone 7.5/750 mg every 4 hours PRN for over a year. It was a 3 month supply with refills until I decided I don’t like taking pain meds. Extremely nauseating. I like my good old 800 mg Ibuprofen when needed. Sometimes I get Toradol shots but rare. I did the epidural in my neck and back but the 2nd and 3rd injection made it worse. I just try not to harbor on it all because I have things to do🤗🤗 The flare up of the spinal injury is hideous. Having a full blown Fibro flare and RA flare is beyond uncomfortable and having them on top of the spinal injury definitely makes it unbearable because of the nerve pain and muscle pain. That’s when I get in tears and get physically sick from the pain, but bright side ☀️ ☀️ it’s only happened 3-4 times in a year and few months ☺️🙌

Love your photo. Hope you are feeling better. Kidney stones can be caused by excess proteins. Painting with kids can be such fun but often very messy!!

JCmama, spinal injuries are not fun. Also have a cervical fusion so 4 vertebrae's are fused succumbed to that when I lost the use of my left arm after a work injury. Of course it weakens above and below the fusion. I blew 3 discs coughing from bronchitis 2 years ago and thanks to physical therapy and a wonderful trainer I'm pretty good. Try some trigger point ball therapy--it has helped me so much I also find these supplements are so amazing. Turmeric with black pepper : Boswellia extract: MSM 1000 mg's: also 10,000 iu's of D3, Magnesium 800mg, and a Vitamin B complex. The B's and D because mine tend to run low, Magnesium also low and having it in a normal range helps combat chronic migraines that I used to have.

Ouch wholefoodnut 🙁 I happen to take all of those. Actually getting put on prescription Vitamin D3 50,000 IU again because my levels are chronically low. I can’t tell you how much PT I have done over the years and Trigger point shoots me to the moon and actually makes my neck worse.

Ash is good for sleep and boosts your brain function too. I take 500mg 100% organic root, 2 to 4 capsules per day. I’m sorry for your pain. My neck is injured too after the accident, lifting actually helped a lot. I also see my ostheo 3 to 4 times per year. Try it, it could help. Stay strong 💪

Wholefoodnut, technically I get less protein than I should because I don’t consume processed powder/bars anymore. But I think it’s hereditary because my brother had such an episode too. I also had a very violent pyelonephritis moment 15 years ago, I honestly prefer giving birth 😂

I'll have to look into that for chronic pain. I still have to take poison pills (opiodes). someday soon I may have an option for a more natural pain management.

you are amazing.

Bruce, I am taking opiates right now as well and will do a detox ritual when I am done. It has dreadful effects on my hormonal system. I am going to right down a comprehensive little paper about amino acids and post it soon. I've been taking Magne B6 since forever, very good stuff.
