This morning I went two miles up the mountain behind the family home on an old logging road. I made a round trip of 4 miles in an hour. There was an 1140 foot elevation gain... lets just say the trip down was a LOT faster than going up. Ended up at the river for a quiet moment... to catch my breath.

Yes, shirfleur! That is exactly it! I've been coming here since I was a 19 year old girl. Got engaged to my beloved at that exact spot by the river! I never ever take for granted the beauty. Wish it was possible to bottle up the feeling and save it for another day when the soul needs a little peace.
