Weigh-in tomorrow at work. I think I've got this. Since I basically just started back up, I probably won't have any trouble showing a 1 1/2 lb. loss tomorrow. And maybe even next week won't be too bad - it's the weeks following that I am going to be sweating - literally.

Tried something different today. Made tuna salad wraps with romaine lettuce. When I was a Chief in the Navy, while on shore duty, we would take turns once a week bringing in a lunch. I was known for my tuna salad. Unfortunately, I take short cuts now for the sake of not being late for work. So I cheat; you know: onion salt, celery salt, dill weed - instead of the real deal. Anyway, it tastes OK.

Yesterday was pizza day in the kiosk. Pizza is my nemesis - well, one of them anyway. I did not go into the kiosk. I did not even walk by it while it was open. When I do indulge in pizza from the kiosk, it's a double sin - because I eat the lunch I brought from home, as well as the pizza. But hey, I drink a diet coke with it. What more could you ask?

It was pretty cold this morning; I think about 5F with wind chill down in the negative numbers. I only have to endure the cold for a short time - time enough for the truck to warm up. Just seems like such a waste without snow. Maybe some flurries tonight, but they say only enough to cover the ground. Come on, this is winter! Bring it on!

Hey, hope everyone is having a great day! I'm holding off on buying those snow shoes just yet. Always wanted to try them; hard to drive the tractor with them on, I'll bet. Anyway, I've got to go down and find out how my boss rated my performance last year. I told him to just mail it to me, but he wasn't having any of it. Toodles!

Great job at passing up the pizza. Love pizza. It is one of the things I fail to eat in moderation. Best to simply avoid it, most of the time. We got snow last night with more in the forecast for today and tonight. I'd gladly share some and send it your way if I could!!! No fun to have it cold and no snow. You are on a good roll ... keep it up!!

I am impressed. No, I mean really, really impressed. As for tomorrow's weigh in - you'll knock 'em dead!

Good luck on that weigh in.... As you say... The difficult bit is 3-4 weeks down the line. In the end it will be worth it.... And it keeps you on your tows. Re the cold.... Look at it this way, the cold burns more calories as your body has to shiver and make extra effort to keep warm - so it should help with your weight loss LOL.

Haha I love the "I drink a diet coke with it." Nice job resisting the pizza! Keep it up, you'll see some consistent losses for your weigh ins, I have faith!!

Hey DK good for you...avoiding the pizza. Like you I love it...hard for me to even type about it. Sheesh!! I have found that if I make a hamburger crust and then use sauce sparingly and top my crust with pepperoni and onion and mushroom and cheese that it is actually pretty good and it satisfies my craving for pizza. I agree....I can deal with cold weather much better if I have some snow to go along with it. Good luck on the weigh in!

Ooooh; I like the idea of a hamburger crust! That's good timing; goes right along with my new journal entry.

Sounds really cold, DK. I'd buy the snow shoes if I were you. Stay warm and toasty, my friend.
