Hi everyone!! I am pretty new here. I have been doing Keto for about 3 weeks now and have only lost 12lbs. I had a fall off the wagon weekend though for my anniversary. I have been on track though pretty much the whole time. I feel like I should be loosing more. I really need support from ya all though please! My family are meat potatoes and gravy eaters!! So it can be a bit trying at times! 😀

So I’ve been on this journey before. When I was 32 I lost 150lbs and kept it off until I got pregnant at 42! Since then I can’t seem to loose the baby weight!! Any help suggestions or support would be so greatly appreciated!! Thanks ya all!!

You are doing just fine! Keep going. I have been doing keto for over 7 months this time around. It gets pretty easy

Get some cauliflower mash from the freezer section of the market, eat the meat with them but replace everything potato 🥔 with cauliflower. 12 lbs in 3 weeks is great progress!

I don't know anything about keto but just stay strong and good things will happen. Do you check with keto sticks to make sure you're in ketosis.

Seems like you’re doing amazing 😉💪👏 I’m all about the Green Giant veggie spirals🤗🤗😋 I like Moopie idea of replacing the masked potato with cauliflower mash👍 or even doing a portioned mix.

Hi! I read your bio! Nice to have you. Kept is a very neat way to eat, but if you also make sure you have a calorie deficit, your weight loss is guaranteed.

12lb in 3 weeks is awesome. 2 to 3 lbs a week is a good goal and is doable. stay strong.

hii, just thought I'd give my advice since I also did a diet a few times but each time I did it, I lost less weight then the time I did it before. so now I started working with macros and a deficit in calories, I've been doing it for about 8months now and lost 8kg in the first three months, now I have a bit more calories and just keeping my weight the same since I'm happy with it now. But I still make sure to get all my macros and fibre. This was a lifestyle change for me and not just a diet since I'm planning on keeping on with it. My macros at the moment is 38% protein, 35% carbs and 27% fats and 20g fibre a day. I always wish I knew about macros earlier and how beneficial they are so I hope this help you too.

took me over a year to lose 30 on lowcarb. hang in there. I take .25 losses as a win!

Thanks everyone for your support and advice. I guess my thing is that I’m doing Keto but feel like I’m eating to much fat. Is that such a thing?! Lol When I lost so much weight before I ate one meal a day, anything I wanted as much as I wanted, and drank water all day.

Eating fat is what you want to do on keto. It gives no insulin rises and you can get into the fatburning zone.

Well I got pregnant when I was 42. Since having my little guy I haven’t been able to loose the weight! I know fat is what I want on Keto. You all have made me feel a lot better! I hope the pounds keep coming off!! 😊😊

1-2 lbs per week is healthy weight loss. 3-4 is really fast weight loss. When you see higher numbers than that it’s often water weight from fluid retention that is being let go (or fecal matter!) so don’t worry. 12 lbs in 3 weeks is awesome!!

Also if it makes you feel any better, I’ve been doing Keto almost perfectly for 3 weeks, no cheats, no mistakes of eating too much or too many carbs and I’ve lost 8 lbs. every individual is going to have different weight loss rate due to a lot of variables. I also have been losing 2.5-3.5 lbs and then plateauing for a week and the losing the weight and then plateauing for a week, etc. so don’t expect the scale to always go down. It will even fluctuate up(probably water weight, more sodium that day = more water retention) I know that feeling of getting impatient but For my body, losing what I’m hoping eventually to be at least 40-50 lbs overall will take me time so I have to settle in and stay consistent. In the past, my impatience and criticisms of my weight loss “performance “ were my downfall. They led to discouragement and it took me a while to get back out of that. Also, if your impatience is due to the diet being really stressful in your life, you might want to change things to smtg more conducive to your life that you can sustain long term so you don’t burn out! Yo-yo dieting is NO fun. Good luck!!!! You should be so proud of your efforts so far. I’m impressed by it, I hope you can be too!

I think 12 lbs is good. Sure is better than gaining or keeping 12 lbs. Patience is important.
