Here it is Saturday already. Where does the time go? I saw at Walmart this week that Atkins products are going Keto. They had a package of what they called fat Bombs and the price for about 5 was $9. Did I buy some? NO way, too expensive. I do buy the Atkins shakes, but don't use them every day. I prefer the Slimfast Advantage shakes which are more filling. I don't use them everyday either. I love the Atkins diet which has got me to goal, but I like regular food that is low carb. It isn't expensive and as long as you keep track of your carbs you will do just fine. There are plenty of recipes for fat bombs and they are easy to make.

I'm with you - used to love the Atkins snacks but decided even they have too many ingredients I can't pronounce! My favorite Fat Bombs need no recipe - pecans! They are 90% fat.

I love pecans too, and have some every day.

Macadamia nuts are great for lc snacking too! Here is a Keto friendly snack mix. INGREDIENTS 1 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
 1 cup walnuts, chopped
 1 cup flaked unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup shelled pumpkin seeds
 1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup almond flour
1/3 cup coconut oil or butter, melted
 1 egg
 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
 1 teaspoon cinnamon
 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cacao nibs or 85% cocoa chips INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 300F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. Combine the nuts and seeds in a medium bowl. 3. Add almond flour and coconut flakes and stir together until well combined. 4. Combine the coconut oil, egg, vanilla extract cinnamon and sea sat and whisk. Add to the nut mixture and stir together. Fold in the cacao nibs. 5. Spread on a baking sheet and bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown, stirring halfway through. 6. Let cool and store in a mason jar. Serve with greek yogurt or from the hand. It’s all good!

Not a big fan of products either. Yeah I like nuts and small pieces of cheese. As a snack addict I am hesitant about making anything that may just get binged on. But that recipe looks good and not filled with sweeteners

I learned not to snack on anything. Either I eat nuts within my mealtime or I don't eat them. It's too easy for them to control me, instead of me controlling them! The other thing is that staying "on the feed" by snacking between meals keeps insulin levels high. Besides facilitating the use of glucose by our cells, insulin facilitates fat storage.

Chow moore, I'm sure I'd LOVE that recipe so much, I'd eat way too much of it. Storing in a mason jar? HA! I could store the "leftovers" in a thimble!

I love the boost high protein, it's only 160 call and 5 gm carbs.

Mira, you are so right - I typically allow myself a small 4th meal snack mid afternoon. I seldom keep any nuts in the house, they are too tempting!
