Sorry. If it’s any consolation, I’ve been up since 11:45pm with high fever and flu-like symptoms. Stayed home yesterday and will again today AFTER going to the doctor. Hope you find peaceful slumber soon!

I am experiencing the same thing. I am awake a few nights a week. 🤦♀️, what I am doing is getting up to start my day 🤷♀️🏋️♀️

I was in the same place when I was water fasting. Now, lots of fat before bedtime and a large dose of melatonin is what gets me to sleep for at least 4 hours. Occasionally I may wake up at midnight and then take another small dose of melatonin to get back to sleep. However, if I have enough fat before bedtime I don't need to do this.

Jumm, I don't know how you do that, Adefwebserver, for me that doesn't work.

@Keilin_4 - I can only sharing my own experience. I am **not** telling her what she should do :) However, I have-been-there with 'not sleeping' and, for me, it was 'mentally painful'. So, I am motivated to share :)

Adefwebserver, I understand, and you are right when you say that what works for one person may not work for another one. I still doesn't find my cure . I am currently out of social media one hour before bed, I really need to create a bed time routine.
Girl, I hope you can find yours. 🙏

Old habits suggest that my body wants me to drink copious amounts of booze before bed. That and the years I spent working at the hospital on NOCs has completely screwed me up. I’m not sure what’s gonna help—without being medicated 🤣

@g_ortegam - ...and Diphenhydramine/Doxylamine that is in normal sleeping pills would 'get me to sleep' but not the 'restful sleep' I needed (booze was the same way, but, I have given that up 18 years ago). Melatonin gives me the 'restful sleep'. I just have to take more of it whenever I don't have a 'normal meal' in me ('carbs makes me sleep like a baby!' Haha!).

I have very irregular hours, and sleep during the day 4 days per week. I have found that sleep masks help, of course dark room, and I have 10mg melatonins I take 1-4 depending on how tired I don't feel 😕 I try not to take them off possible so I don't get used to them.. But they have worked for me so far. Good luck!

I also started dealing with this a few years ago.... after fighting it and being frustrated tossing and turning for hours on end I just decided to go with the flow. If I wake up and cant get back to sleep within a reasonable time I take advantage of it....do laundry, clean house, pay bills, go grocery shopping.....so most of the things people might do at the end of their work day I do at the beginning. Most nights that puts me in bed about 9:00. It seems no matter what time I go to bed I wake up generally by 3:00. Good Luck!!!

Gogo...this is me also. Yesterday I woke up at 2 and couldn’t go back to sleep...just got up and wen to the gym. Not much else to do for me because I’ll do the same thing (toss and turn, etc). Well at least I’m not alone in my insomnia!

Forgot to mention, if you can... Eat some carbs before you sleep. It's supposed to lower cortisol, help you lose weight, and help you sleep better. Worth a try if you can. I try when I can and I think ChrisW says he does also. Good luck!
