I had a fairly nice day, though I'm worried about! Beau. He spent last night and today mostly hiding under the bed, something he never does. He seems healthy enough when we do see him. He came out for his dinner and was happy when I thoroughly cleaned his fountain, new filter & all, and filled it with cool clean water.

I made organic cornmeal whole grain pancakes for breakfast; I put mashed ripe banana on mine, Yum. For dinner I made roasted butternut squash with olive oil, smoked paprika, and tart cherries, and Apricot-Lemon chicken breast. We ate way too much of the squash because it was sooooooo good, & my partner had two servings of the chicken (I almost did, but saved it for lunch tomorrow.

Sunday; my day of rest from organized exercise, as well as the day I give myself my Avonex injection (for MS). I drink lots of water to reduce the flu-like side effects. An hour before my shot I take a pain pill. Close to bedtime I come upstairs, put meditation music on with my noise-cancellation headset, open my kit, and prepare my injection. I'm used to the 1 1/4 inch needle I put into my thigh muscle & inject the medicine, but sometimes it hurts or bleeds and I just breathe and listen to the music. I usually wake around six hours after my injection aching so badly that I take another pain pill. At least its just once a week, and it does seem to have slowed the progression of my MS. I'm
doing so much better!

I hope Beau is behaving more normally tomorrow; I'm calling his vet, regardless . It's time for his checkup anyway, though he's up-to-date on his shots.

I've been eating quite a lot, so I'm not looking forward to our weigh-in tomorrow!

Beau - the boy is in a mood, eh? Maybe he realizes he will NEVER get to those darn squirrels. Bodhi can be that way sometimes, too. But a check-up always eases the mind.
