Good Saturday morning, fs!

Well i skipped t25 double-up Friday workout (and everything else) yesterday and it is time to pay the piper. My abs are still sore but my legs have recovered. I am feeling like i need to start trying to do more of the real exercises and less modifying. 😢

In 2011 i took a fitness boot camp, and at the time i felt i got minimal results and that ultimately it wasn't worth the money. i often think how my attitude has changed and is continuing to evolve since then. I am really trying to adopt a "growth mindset."

For instance, burpees. I *loathe* them, and i can't do them right and i look weak and pathetic. Because i *am* weak and pathetic! When i was watching a bunch of weight loss shows to try to mentally rev up for this journey, one of the ppl losing weight was trying to explain to the trainer that burpees are *too hard* when you are fat!! And i am thinking, heck yeah they are, and if the trainer had ever been an ounce overweight she would understand that!

But then the trainer has her confessional and she says, burpees are hard for everyone, and they are supposed to be hard! They are supposed to be challenging, and not fun! I seriously had never thought of that. I mean, maybe it is something that more athletic or disciplined ppl understand inherently, but i had to be taught, and frankly i still don't like it! I have been thinking about that bootcamp for a few reasons, but my favorite is i just got back into the jog bra armor that i bought for it, and so the girls are really strapped down!

I have been snacking on nuts and chips and eating sweets late more than i would like this week. We'll see how the scale treats me tomorrow morning. Otherwise, i feel pretty good about my reboot week. Gonna do t25 total body circuit (and maybe try to do some of the burpees) and upper focus (and try to do a few of the push ups). It is warm and super misty today. Will take the doogie to run around, she needs it.

Omg chris, t25 also has these standing/vertical mountain climbers and i frickin hate them! They actually make me mad!

I know not of this burpee you speak of. Don't they sell seeds? Pretty sure I bought seeds for my garden from a company called Burpee's.

Ok just reporting back that i did both t25s and i did nothing like real burpees, or i did burpees with about 14 steps as i fold up my body and struggle up and down from the floor, but i did them!!! Since i also did both stretches, i gave myself "nailed it." 😊

Ahhhhh chris, why don't they ever tell you that? Or, more likely i was not ready to listen, haha. And imperfect is being very generous!!
