I have a question for those that have lost a good bit of weight and/or have reached their goal. Do you see in yourself what others see with your weight loss? Thank you😊

I smile everytime my husband comments that I look good. He did not notice for a long time the change. I am happy with my progress and yep I am happy with myself though I still have some fat loss and shaping to do.

I previously lost over 50lbs, and no I didn't see it until well over 20lbs down. Everyone else would comment after the 10lbs mark, but I still felt like it wasn't good enough. I have learned to now have photos taken of me, and I put them in a special weight loss album in my phone. I can then scroll though each one and see the differences which motivates me to go further. My husband is usually my photographer. :)

I'm pretty sure I developed body dysmorphia. I see my preloss self all day long. I've lost 66lbs. All the loose skin and scary stretch marks don't help my image either.

Body dysmorphia is very common with those (including me) who have lost a lot of weight - I lost over 65lbs but sometimes still see myself at the plus 200 range.

People say I look good...but I still do not like photos of myself. I have been smaller in the past and am still battling to get under goal again

Even though I carried the weight for over 10 years, I didn't recognize the "fat me" as being "me"; so losing 30 lbs brought me back to "my" body.

I lost 85+ pounds and have almost reached my final goal weight. When I started, I was a different person than I am now. I still feel like I am overweight sometimes though. People have told me that I look great, but I still have to overcome some of the negative thinking. I feel it will pass in time.
