Today's dinner was an improvisation: I wanted to cook something with lentils (since I haven't eaten them for ages) and spinach (as I got a 5oz package in my fridge). It turned out to be yummy!

Its called dal palak (lentils with spinach) in the Indian sub-continent and common recipe.

Thanks chromeazzaro! Never heard of it. Googled - it's usually a soup in Indian cuisine, mine was thicker. Definitely, though, looks similar!
