In spite of a significant calorie deficit yesterday, I am up a fraction. Of course these decimal point changes and frequent weigh-ins are just noise. What matters is the trend and I'm interested to see where things settle in the next several days. Then, I am off on a voyage where controlling what I eat will not be as easy. Eating with others makes avoiding bad choices harder because I don't like to seem fussy or be a picky eater. At home, alone, making good choices is easier. I simply don't buy or keep bad choices around, and I keep good my foods where I see them. In a group setting, it seems that the typical meals offered are almost the exact opposite of what I know is good for me. The reason for is explained in several recent books: The 'End of Overeating' and 'Always Hungry', both available as talking books on Audible.
