My life is on OVERHAUL right now. Moving boxes flood my apartment. Everything is in disarray. There is absolutely no routine or any remnant of a comfort zone. And I am so happy! <3

My boyfriend just moved into my apartment, and I have been doing the Marie Kondo method to reduce my own clutter and make space for his stuff. It has been a very emotional and life-changing process to KonMarie everything I own. It's very cathartic and challenging and refreshing. I have removed so much clutter from my home, all with the goal of making this place feel lighter and new. It's definitely working. I have taken out at least 6 boxes and 7 ten-gallon garbage bags of stuff that does not bring me joy. I've lost count, it might be twice as that, honestly. This spark-joy perspective has changed my life.

... at the cost of my eating habits. I am snacking incessantly and eating out of schedule. I stopped logging my food. I also stopped counting my daily caloric intake and working out regularly. I am so focused in getting settled in with this new life with my partner, and I feel so good about it.

What's funny is that my pants fit loosely right now, and it doesn't feel like I am gaining weight despite it all. Marie Kondo does explain that some of her clients experience weight loss around the lower belly while decluttering with her methodology. I'm not sure if that's what is happening, or if it's due to the exorbitant amount of movement required to move stuff out of the apartment. Regardless, it feels good to feel emotionally and physically lighter.

I don't feel guilty about taking a break from logging. I do feel somewhat guilty about snacking all day long and not making time to work out on a regular basis. BUT, I am patient. I know things will settle down eventually as boxes disappear and this new home comes together.

Weight 157.5 lbs
Body Fat 38 %

Well, no wonder I feel lighter! Happy dance :D
71.4 kg Lost so far: 31.5 kg.    Still to go: 13.8 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
Losing 0.2 kg a Week
