Getting harder folks - Lots of stress happening next couple days and will be glad when sunday comes - Being able to hold this weight right now feels like a miracle - Trying not to do "stress" eating. Good Luck to all - I hope to rub elbows with everyone by the weekend - Thank you -

I may not be able to do the 1300 - 1500 calories - I need to keep better track - I kind of measure by a bowl of something or a plate of something -
I hope to do better this year at that - Any tips are appreciated -

Again , thank you

I have a digital scale I bought at Walmart. It includes a tare function so I just tare the plate and weigh whatever meat I am eating. I also have a ‘coffee’ measure that is 2 tablespoonfuls. Love that thing because salad dressing is generally in 2 tbs portion sizes. The thing that makes it easy for me is that I eat basically the same thing everyday. And I don’t ‘cook’ as in no recipes. Just plain meat mostly. I love the birds eye cauliflower packages because I can eat the entire package without going over the carb limits. Anyway, those are my tips. A friend of mine used to measure out almonds or whatever in little baggies so she knew the portion size of what she was eating. I’ve never done that but have been thinking I might do it if I hit some type of a stall. Hope some of that helps.

Until you get a scale and measuring cups at a WalMart or thrift shop: 1 oz of cheese is 1” cube on a side or the size of a domino or so if estimating for restaurant food. 3 oz of meat is the size of a pack of playing cards. 1 oz of nuts is a scant handful, about the size of a squash ball. Medium fruit is the size of a baseball/tennis ball. Large is softball. Small is golf ball /baseball sized depending on the type of fruit. I hope this helps! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Always remember that sauces can be watered to reduce calories, and a few spices don’t cost many calories to add lots of flavor. 🙋🏻‍♀️

I definitely don’t find measuring to be very difficult. I’m on the keto diet so I also don’t have much difficulty with willpower most of the time. Now the exercise, that is a very different story. I just can’t seem to force myself to do it. No matter how easy I make it for myself. This time last year I bought a $1200 treadmill. A beautiful machine. Do you think I use it?? Nope. It collects dust. Got a gym membership a couple months ago. The place is less than 5 blocks from my house. You think I go? Rarely. I really suck at the exercise part. If you find a way to motivate yourself to exercise more please share it. I’ve about decided I need a fat farm with a drill instructor to kick my sorry arse.
