I feel some challenging days coming. Here's the back story. My husband got a new job a few months ago so we moved into an apartment in a new city but still have a house in our home city. We still have our physicians in the home city and are consequently going to be there for appointments during the next few days.

This shouldn't be a big deal but as I think about the trip home all I can think about is the food options I don't have where we currently live. The Chinese buffet where I can't seem to get enough fried wontons that I dip into red sauce and hot mustard!! The Mexican restaurant with the quesadilla fajita, chips, sour cream,..... Even the Wendys we pass by on our way has me craving a single with cheese!

Now, most of you know that I count calories so the single with cheese isn't necessarily off limits as I can simply log the calories and still stay within my limits as long as I "stay within my limit" haha. However, the other places can't be found on any website so I will be making educated guesses based upon similar food items from chain restaurants. My concern is that I feel like an addict or alcoholic about to go to a bar. I am looking far to forward to eating!

While at the apartment I carefully plan our meals and there are limited snacks kept in the cabinets because we just don't buy them. Our adult children are residing in our other home so I am about to enter junk food heaven or h--- depending upon your perspective. Lol!

Sorry to go on and on; just sharing. Got on the scale this morning down .2 pounds from yesterday. You'd think this would induce restraint but for some reason I think it has me feeling like I have room to splurge! I tell ya. Who can understand the twisted logic of a self professed lover of all things fattening😕

Been there. It's tough. Hopefully the busy-ness of the visit will keep you from having the time to fall all the way off the wagon.
