ruthe1213's Journal, 11 Nov 17

I've stuck to the Hcg plan better than any other plan of recent years. When I do err I get right back with it. When I err it's with fat not carbs. I'm keeping my carbs very low. I'm 72. I don't have time to fool around. My mobility depends upon carrying around less weight. I'm sad. Is no one else is on Hcg with me? My weight journal today said at the rate of loss since last weigh-in I would reach my goal by February. I'd like comments and support. Making goal by my birthday would be awesome.

Never heard of Hcg. I mostly go for portion control and keeping calories low while trying to minimize processed foods. Don't always succeed with processed foods. Usually have hot chocolate and 1/4 bagel for breakfast. That's the portion control part. And I find it very satisfying to be able to have a breakfast I enjoy and still lose weight. I understand about weight affecting mobility. I have noticed a little more energy and it's easier to walk some hills since dropping 30 pounds.

I was on HCG Tracie and was starving the whole time both times. I did lose weight but gained it back quickly. I do hope that it's a diet which will work for you.

If you were starving on hCG, you either had the wrong dosage or it wasn't the real hCG hormone. hCG stimulates the body to use its fat stores, so the VLCD phase is high protein / low fat / very low calorie. You only do that for 30 to 42 days, then stop the hCG and gradually add foods and calories. It is based on a 1950s diet study, documented in a book called "Pounds and Inches". For me, hCG was a jump-start and a natural segue to low carb / ketogenic diet. Because I am T2D, carbs cause me nearly instant weight gain. Regaining will happen after any diet if you don't figure out a way of eating that works for you. I find keto so satisfying that I plan to stick to it for good.

My aunt does the hcg diet and it does wonders for her, I tried it and it made my hair fall out, right now I’m doing Keto(low carb high fat) and taking a little walk every day and it’s working so far I eat eggs and cheese plus sausage or bacon for breakfast, for lunch just a snack of lunch meat and some cheese, and for dinner I eat a large portion of veggies before I eat the meat that I prepared. I enjoy it, and I haven’t been tempted so far because like you my health depends on it,I’m young and need to change before it’s too late, just don’t get discouraged because you’re strong and can do anything, I just have to tell myself some things take time. Good luck and keep your mind open to a different diet maybe.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

One day at a time, one step at a time. Just work your plan, plan, prep and track. It will work out in the end.
