Yesterday was stressful. I'm sure my cortisol was way up. Helping and giving to others is a blessing. On faith I am taking that it is. I'm a natural giver and helper but yesterday was in the form of a lot of time and money and running around town. It seems like this is the week. $615 to the plumber. Yesterday was over $500 to help someone get back on their feet. I give of my time freely but parting with that much money, time and running was more difficult. God loves a cheerful giver. I'm not sure that I was cheerful. God loves me anyway I know. In the process of helping I missed two appointments. I am really good at keeping my word so forgetting two appointments was significant. At the end of the day, I decided I needed red meat so went to a local restaurant. Of course I am not sure of exact counts. I kept carbs low but am sure fats were up more than I've been eating. Overall calories were close to goal I think but who knows. So I am up 1# today. I'm not surprised. Thank God for a new day. Today I plan to take my 13 year old cat Edgar to the vet. I adopted him a last Saturday so have a voucher to use this week. Not eating anything and everything yesterday was different for me. In the past I would eat out of control on a day like yesterday just to get through. Food was my crutch. Praise God for positive changes and the ability to acknowledge them.

Glad we don't have to repeat the same day over and over again. Take care.

I took Edgar the cat I adopted Saturday to the vet. He needed over $600 for dental and $25-50 for antibiotics. I hated to do it bit I decided to return him. I'm very sad now. Eating one serving of parsnip chips and coffe3 for breakfast.

Is it any surprise that having had one serving of parsnip chips I now want another?? Think I'll take a nap.

It's hard and I'm sure it was very sad having to give Edgar back. It's just an opstacle and tomorrow starts a new and fresh day. God understands and sees how hard you are trying. We all see how hard you are trying. Lean on us and we will help you. :)

So i took a nap. Now I am going to eat in about 20 minutes. Think I'll eat a salad with turkey breast.

Is the vet a reputable vet? I only ask because we had a similar experience and it turned out there was NOTHING wrong with our cats teeth.

The shelter said Edgar had severe dental problems. The vet said he didn't think it was as bad and even could wait but it would evenually need to be done. If extractions were involved the price goes up. Edgar is around 13 years old. I alsohave my daughter's cat which also needs care so I didn't think it wise to take in another with problems. I do trust the vet I use.
