Saw the doctor on Wednesday & my heart is beating much too fast. I started heart medicine yesterday (Thursday). I also have to take the antidepressant for the nerve pain in my legs, in the morning instead of nighttime. These two issues could be accounting for my tiredness in the mornings. We talked about my weight & I am going to try Victoza injections. My doctor says I have to commit to a better eating plan for 6 mths. Our drug plans will not cover the injections & 6 mths worth is going to cost at least $2500!! My husband agrees I should try it & I feel if I am going to spend that kind of money, that I need to be committed. My doctor says to watch the bad carbs, which I love. I told him that I haven't had a Chunky kitkat in almost 5 mths, although I still have 20 of them in my pantry. My sugars are higher than ever at 6.4 so he says I must be eating other stuff that's just as bad. I'm sure it's bread. He says no more than 2 slices a day. Because I started the heart medicine yesterday, I didn't want to start two medications at the same time. So I will wait a week before starting the Victoza. Thank you to everyone who reads my journal entries & especially the ones who support me. I never feel worthy of your support as I have not made any progress with losing weight for the last 6 years.
