I am starting to do the extended fasting now to speed up getting both insulin sugar and weight down. That will be one meal in four days. (Drain the swamp) Before it was one meal in two days,47-1. Now it's 95-1 till the end of this month of June. It sounds hard but for people in real keto it is a piece of cake (oh! sorry I said that... not real cake). In times like this we need to listen to our bodies. Feeling so much more energy, very alert, up beat-happy go lucky, strong not sluggish, and still riding my bike 2 to3 hours each morning. So what else could a 73 year old man ask for. Even my wife has seen the light on this keto life style. She wants to join me. Last week after failing so many other diets her whole life and gaining it all back lost 5 plus lbs as a newbie and still losing. This makes you love your scale every day. Thank you my buddy Phil.

Oh! I made the comment about the extended 4 day fast and now I have to take that back. Yesterday about 3 pm my body wanted to stop the fast. I do follow what my body says even tho our bodies are stupid. The time was long enough. So I did a 3 day fast and and will do another one starting today.... maybe till the end of the month. I really need to Drain the swamp....My blood sugar is full and I am determined to get all the built up sugar out of my system. I have been winning the battle so far. And the bonus is losing the last 10 lbs which is had to do.

Yes! So thankful for a partner showing success on this. He started at 140, size 54 trousers, now in 38 jeans and still going. What first got my attention though was how easily he was moving well before visible weight came off. So I cut sugar and fast carbs way back then. Am just now getting on the keto bandwagon, though. Lots still to learn. Who knew green beans had so many carbs? All the best to your wife, hope she enjoys keto as much as I am!
