So true! I was just musing on this yesterday as I reflected on my loss (via my discipline) vs my friend's gain. I have certainly been jealous of her meals, etc over the past months but I am very glad not to be experiencing her regret!

Love how you hit your goal and still lived well during the journey. You made it look easy!

Green arrows are always good. You have that great bod in great shape. Congrats to you! Kind of a bit overcast here, which is good. Not so hot, and yesterday was a super nice day. Good luck with the diet and fitness.

So true!! I must remind myself of these important words every time I feel like I don't want to eat well or exercise. Thanks for sharing!

Nice post! I get frustrated with people who lament how they, "just can't lose weight", yet they're enjoying all the things they know they shouldn't have. My poor ol' dad is one of the worst, always eating cookies and peanut butter crackers, ice cream, and other terrible food choices then says, "I, I, I don't eat much!" Just, ugh! lol Oh, well, you can lead a horse to water and all that.

I have a BIL like that, Phil -- even after Gastric Bypass, he continued to eat like that, and, of course, is now as big, or bigger, than he was before the surgery. Eats at least a box of cookies and a pie after dinner every night. Will not eat any veggies (never did) and the only fruit is watermelon. Then wonders why he has trouble breathing, walking, etc!

I always try to persuade people thinking about getting any kind of weight loss surgery NOT to, I know there are people who consider their surgery a success, but they still had to eat a freight-train ton less, and that's really not that hard to accomplish on a well-chosen diet. I've gotten to where I don't try to help people that refuse to accept some basic weight-loss truths, that's why I always ask people what foods they're not willing to give up. If their answer isn't along the lines of "ANYTHING and EVERYTHING", then I would just be wasting my time.
