ImLaura's Journal, 27 May 16

Ok...so almost didn't post this weigh in. But.... I have to practice what I preach, right? I am pretty shocked that I had a gain. Look at my food and exercise diary. I DEF had a negative number yesterday and expected at least a little loss. But.... I know it could have been a ton of stuff: wonky scale, water weight, lack of elimination for two days, all kinds of stuff. Bottom line, not gonna let this get me down. I am sticking with my program 'cause I know it works. ALSO...... My man is back in town for the holiday weekend so that is going to make it much more challenging to eat right and not consume large quantities of alcohol (woot woot!). Heading to Temecula for a Jazz concert tomorrow night so that means at least one bottle of wine... Maybe more. ;) Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend everyone... We can do this!!

Your trend is still good and I think sometimes a little gain precipitates a nice drop. Have fun!

try to pre-plan your cheats into your day. Adjust the fat and carbs earlier in the day to account for the wine.

Plan ahead for the "extras" - and try magnesium tablets for that "other" issue..LOL, they really help. Just magnesium tablets you can buy anywhere and take three or four at night...helps me sleep better, too.

Hey, one pound is nothing. Have fun at the festival! That sounds like a great time. I somehow motivated myself to the gym, and am happy, my knee seems great. Have a nice safe trip.

I haven't consumed large quantities of alcohol since college. lol Your body will burn the alcohol first so don't be surprised if getting your drank on stalls your weight loss.

I definitely think it could be the "elimination" problem. I've not tried the mag tablets but I do drink CALM every day which is magnesium. Ever since I went LC I've had to use something, especially when I get on a cheese kick! I'm also in the same boat as you with the "man home"....Have fun and enjoy the time together. That's what was advised to me and that's what I'm gonna do!!!

Heck, just use a sweetener with maltitol in it. That'll blow the doors off that semi!*snerk* Uh...maybe wait until *after* the weekend.... :D

Well done for posting. Often I put on the day before I have a loss. Keep positive.
