Especially if you are smoking from boredom, one helpful tip is to spend as much time as possible doing things where you don't smoke, like taking a bath. I know that can be difficult if you have little ones around, but perhaps you can find something else. Do you knit or crochet or some other h Dr craft t h at will occupy your hands?

The only way to quit smoking is to quit....period. You have to be extremely tough with yourself. Find the person who hates your smoking the most, given him or her a cigarette to hold for you and make that the next cigarette you smoke (of course he or she is expected to make you humiliate yourself begging so hopefully you won't). This worked for my wife who smoked three packs a day and would be dead now if she had not quit. You have the guts to quit but it is really really hard. Every member of my dad's family, all my uncles and aunts, who smoked died young. It is definitely worth the pain to quit.

I just love what my tablet does to what I type! That should say "some other craft that will occupy your hands."

Keeping hands & feet busy with hobbies is a great way to keep the food away from the mouth too.

Thanks friends... Panda, I wish there was a craft I liked doing, but no. I like to write and read, but that goes hand in hand with smoke. It's usually working from computer, household chores, there's never enough time!

LL, if my husband knew I picked up the habit a few months ago, he'd kill me! Even more reason to quit. Thanks for sharing your story, it will stick in my mind

You know, Warren, there is no rule that you have to eat them all in one day!!0

Pandasmom, you don't have to worry. I can't eat another bite. I have done the diet devils work today. It all started with that breakfast buffet. I wonder how many calories I burned, logging all that food.
