8hunter6's Journal, 06 May 16

Well my mom, sister and her kids left today at 6 am. they had to leave early because my grandma's arm is broken and not healing and my grandpa gave himself a concussion so he can't care for her.

it was great to have them! they cooked and cleaned and everything!

they were both proud of my weight loss and were supportive of my diet. they still got a lot of treats for the kids though... but I wasn't going to start anything over it since I haven't seen much of them in three years and this was the first real visit to the states.

having them started to get on my husband's nerves a bit due to some miscommunication but that's to be expected with all in laws. .. lord knows I've wanted to strangle his mom and brother before ha ha ha...

my sister saw the ocean for the first time since she was 7! and the first time any of them went to an aquarium. .. we had a ton of fun.

and it was nice seeing all the cousins playing... they had a big water balloon fight !

and they all got to hang with my little man, they have only seen him once before. they were surprised how much sign language I've taught him, how many words he knows and all the hilarious things he can do.

I ate some not so good food too... 3 slices of pizza, and a hamburger with the bun.... so I didn't lose anything this week but I didn't gain anything either. so I can handle that. I was just getting back into keto ... so here's to another new start ha ha ha ha!

I'm so glad you got to have them visit! Sorry though that they had to leave early and the reason why they had to leave ;-( Hope the grandies will be on the mend soon. IMO the last week foodwise/weight wise was kinda a maintenance thing. Yes, I know you're not at maintenance - but I think it's cool sometimes to know that you can moderate yourself enough to have the occasional splurge and NOT go crazy. IMO it's kind of a good reminder of what "normal" life will be...I hope! BTW - glad the family didn't pack up the little man and take him home with them!

yea it was sooo cool seeing them out my way..... I really hope there is something they can do for my grandma. and yes I was able to kind of balance the treats and good food. I was able to trust myself a little and so I got to participate but also not go insane eating the cakes and ice cream and the rest. so pretty proud I didn't gain anything :D
