Eidetiker's Journal, 04 Dec 15

Didn't think I'd lose so quickly after Thanksgiving. I didn't want to weigh myself at all during that time. Figured it would fluctuate a bunch and its not worth the stress.

Resisted donuts at work today. Had some fighting with myself during the time I realized that they were there until I left for the day.

My boyfriend has been wonderful and supportive of my diet choices. He keeps me accountable all the time. There are days where I think, if I cheat at work, he'll never know. But here's how I fight off the donut thoughts: Ultimately cheating on certain foods is just cheating yourself out of your goal.

Do I really want to feel bad after eating a donut?
No.

Is it worth a few seconds of eating a donut to have me swing back to being bloated all the time?
No.

Will resisting this make me stronger?
Yes!

Will it make me happier in the long run?
Yes!

Hope this gives someone some inspiration for tonight. I know I have to fight off the after dinner snacks for sure.

I have the same situation at work--they cater us lunch in from different places everyday--l tried just ordering salad and eating with them, but it seems i was putting myself through torture watching the others and smelling (fries, burgers)so now i make my meal replacement shake early, and i take the lunch i ordered home for now..i will eventually stop taking food home, because I still get tempted later at dinnertime...so I'm here to support you, and I will need support also!
