General update.....Got my flu shot on Friday. I ended up having to wait nearly an hour, but the price was right. :) So with proper handwashing habits and use of hand sanitizer, I should be all set to combat that nasty bug!

Walked 3.1 miles on Saturday, day off Sunday and 3.1 miles today. A cool front with rain is headed this way, so this AM might be the only good walking day this week - we'll see. Nice sunshine, temps in the 70's, a bit of humidity but a nice stronger breeze made walking a breeze!

Hopped into the pool when I got back. We've been putting our heat pump on the last couple days to take advantage of these last swimming days. I plan on being in there again after cutting the lawn, in preparation for a week of rain.

It's a special celebration day for me today. I dropped another pound and, it turns out, that makes 77 pounds lost in 77 weeks on Atkins! Of course, the loss hasn't been linear, but I am proud of a sustained effort producing a nice healthy result. I now have a Lucky 13 pounds to lose to make goal. And, beyond that, an extra 7 would be nice, too, but that's all negotiable with my body - LOL! (Hmmmm, lots of 7s....wonder if that's an omen??!!)

Hey there BuffyBear...just a cool fluky thing how the numbers worked out today. And, yes, I do feel pretty darn good. Sometimes it has seemed slow, well, OK, a LOT of times it has seemed slow, but when I put it into perspective, it's all good. And, I feel great that this has been done eating well with real food....no shots, no "meals" to buy, no ultra-low calories, etc. I will continue to eat this way forever, and not everyone can say that with respect to their current food diaries, so I'm very, very happy about that. So happy too, to have you as a buddy who subscribes to a lot of these same ideas!! We may be thrown a loop or two as we progress, but we persevere!
