jillbronson's Journal, 26 Oct 15

Yay! I moved off my plateau today. I'm trying a new way of eating (carb cycling) and it is probably helping. It's called the (Jorge Cruise) happy hormones slim belly diet. For two days/week I'm on very low carbs (healthy carbs like non-starchy ones are allowed); then for the rest of the week I have a higher carb level. I may have to stay off grains for a while. I'm already off flour and most dairy due to allergies.

I'm grateful to be moving forward, only 2.5lb. until I''m in another decade. Once I get into the 140's I look a lot better and that inspires me to keep everything going.

Good for you! I think any kind of 'cycling' (whether it's simply calorie intake or specifically carbs) is effective at ending (and even avoiding) plateaus as it keeps your body 'guessing' . . . trying to move into the 140s decade with you!
