Had a flu shot Friday and having a hard time getting blood sugar under 300 mg/dl. Nurse said that the shot won't give me the flu. Well, aches all over, chills and fever the eve after the shot. Sounds like the flu to me. Only lasted 2-3 days, so that's something. Effect on insulin resistance was profound and long lasting (still have 2x'd my basal rate to try to get under 100.

I know what you mean I always feel sick for 2 or 3 days after a flu shot and my arm hurts like crazy but I don't have a blood sugar problem, hope you get yours under control soon.

They say the shot won't give me the flu -- but I NOTICE they never say anything about the potential for Zombie Apocalypse..... Just saying. I avoid those shots like the plague. LOL!

I always get those symptoms for 2-3 days after getting the flu shot. It's fairly normal. Never checked my blood sugar as I didn't need to. I hope things get well soon for you

I hear you about the flu shot. It seems I always have a negative reaction to the shot (pain, fever, aches) that are about as bad as the flu. I've had the flu too and really can't tell the difference between the shot symptoms and the flu, so I haven't had the shot in about 7 years. No flu, and no illness worse than the usual cold in that time. The real cure is prevention; wash your hands, don't rub your eyes, and cover your mouth when you sneeze. Avoid people you observe avoiding these rules. Zombies too.
