I was on a mission today to simply try to buy a smaller size in a black skirt and a black pair of pants. What is the deal? Black plants are a plenty, but I spent 4 hours trying to find a simple, knee-length, decently structured, good fabric, washable black skirt. Finally found one at Target, and that was after hitting Lane Bryant, Dress Barn, and three of the anchor department stores at the mall. Hit Target on my way home, before my husband sent out a search party for me, and finally found one. Of course, I spent some $$$ on other stuff along the way.

The most exciting thing? Buying some stuff that was a size Large. Just a plain Large. Not 3x, 2x, 1x or XL, but just L. (Squeal!). And I was trying on stuff, liking stuff, and deciding against certain items because I didn't like the style--not because I looked bad in it. I was lookin' pretty good! This momma of 4+ hasn't enjoyed trying on clothes in a loooong time. Today was tiring, but fun!!!

Congratulations! I found that once I hit a certain point, clothes became a huge part of the "fun" and motivation - definitely having more fun with them now and just wishing I'd gotten on with all this sooner. Totally know that frustration sometimes with not finding those good, classic pieces though - can be surprisingly hard! I'm glad you found one that worked!
