Yay, the free food day weight is almost all off. I needed that day even though it did not turn out as planned. First part of the day went fine, the son got his pretzel pizza and pretzel bites and stayed in his jammies until almost 4 p.m. We went to go to the Chinese buffet and they were closed. A sign on the door said they were closed due to power outage. They had even ran a 300ft extension cord inside their building (I'm guessing for the freezers and fridges) so we grabbed some takeout instead. We do not normally eat out a lot. A few times per year. We try not to even stop for takeout because most of the time it's overpriced junk food. I've been eating micky d's for lunch because my mom has been treating me once a week over the summer. Saturday my son will still get his birthday buffet and my mom also. Thankfully I can still do low carb at the buffet since they have all you can snow crab and a few other things. We already did his cake though so we won't do that again. I still have some of it in my freezer, carvel ice cream cake.
BTW my son's birthday wish was to stay in jammies all day, sleeping as late as he wanted, no walking the dog, unlimited t.v./video games and basically be lazy all day except he wanted to go to the buffet. He said he enjoyed it. :)

Wow, I never realized how blessed I am that my kids are all grown up! Sounds like a fabulous birthday to me! I wish desperately I could lose as fast as you do but...I'll keep the .8 I lose a week and learn patience while I lose this weight. :D

I'm not really losing that fast. :) It's just that I gained a few pounds of water weight from the one day and it's coming off. I'll go back to real weight loss soon and it will be a lot slower. I'm not even at the same weight before my free food day. (Hopefully not to slow at losing though)

Plugging along. I am amazed the weight swings i have, looked at it and that is normal for phase one. I will record that I have only lost .5#, the other day was better, 2.5. I need to eat more salads. I was interested to learn about "Net Carbs"... staying under 22 using the Net Carb rules. I don't mind for now leaning on the meat category. After the next 2.5 # loss, I will plan my losses in 5# increments.. Good Luck everyone!

I've had the weight swings and stalls. I was in one not long ago. Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber also minus sugar alcohols. Sugar alcohols (SA) affect everyone differently and well as different SA affect the same person differently. There are some I can't have or they'll stall me and some that are fine for me.

Still in my freezer, well half of it. I had to have some Saturday for my baby's birthday. :) I got some of it and haven't touched it since then.
