StomachMonkeys's Journal, 25 Apr 24

Good sleep last night helped with this. Also found out the Doctor wants me to wear a Holter monitor due to my low resting heart rate. Guess I won’t be working hard that 24 hours as my job entails strong magnetic fields.

weird, I am going through the same thing. My resting heart rate had dropped down to 42 and stayed there for a while, a few times I had to go to the ER. I did the heart halter last week and I am seeing the cardiologist next week. Hope everything goes well for you.

My RHR has been consistently improving since I started my health and fitness journey. For the last year or so at least, it has been consistently around 48-55 BPM. I was under the impression that healthy food and regular exercise were responsible for this. I guess we’ll see if it’s that, or something more sinister 😈

Well that is interesting. I would have assumed the fitness and healthy eating too. My average Resting heart rate is 55 so will be interesting to see what they say. I just had a heart echo at Mayo because I have a bulging dilated aorta they keep an eye on but no changes so all is good. Hope it is nothing serious.

Before I started exercising and eating healthy, my resting heart rate was 67. Now it sits between 50 and 58. It's just been the last month that I have had some episodes where it drops down to 42 and it stays there for 10 to 15 minutes. I called the doctor and they told me to go to the ER when it happens. My doctor did say that a resting rate between 50 and 60 is fine if you are active.
