StomachMonkeys's Journal, 12 Apr 24

This is what my past month, and my past week have looked like. When I’m on, I’m on! But when I’m off, I’m definitely off! Working on correcting that behaviour. It’s a process, but I’ll get there.

On a side note, looking at my monthly chart shows why I personally find value in daily weigh ins, rather than less frequent measurements. If I only did one weigh-in per week, and it happened to be on all of the peaks, in the past I might have abandoned the healthy habits I had been employing, because “it’s obviously not working”. However, when looking at the trend rather than the peaks, I can see that when I’m following healthy habits, the low points are gradually getting lower, and I should keep focusing on my habits, and improve consistency to optimize my results.

I am in no way suggesting anyone else should do what I do. But I thought it might be a worth a share in case anyone might be interested in my reasoning. Happy Friday y’all! Eat something good and don’t forget to stay hydrated!

You have lost lots of body fat not just weight whilst gaining muscle mass 🔥💪

Maybe. But these scales are nowhere near accurate enough to use for actual body composition numbers. On a side note, Should we make posting our weekly chart a regular thing to help with consistency, motivation, or whatever?

I guess so. If we post them weekly we might take them more serious and keep up with the goals. I m thinking we might do better than now

I weight daily but only care about the trend for the exact reasons you have said and your right thw body comp scales are trash

On a side note, I just upgraded Hevy to the Pro version. If anyone is interested, discount code “ NEWYEARS23 “ still works as of April 17, 2024 and makes it just over $1/month on the yearly plan. Seems pretty reasonable to unlock the limitations. 😎
