It's was a long day on 2/28, but had a good night's sleep.

Paraphrased, the Bible tells us "Where there is gray hair, there is wisdom" See Proverbs 20:29 and Proverbs 16:31. When I was much younger, I wish that I had heeded the wisdom & advice of the now gray headed doctor when he told me to keep myself protected when out in the sun with a hat and sunscreen. Actually, that individual is a doctor that I have known since we were in high school and college, and who is now a retired dermatologist. Many (MANY) years later, my time of playing golf and going to the beach without the proper protection is coming back to haunt me. For the past few years I have been using sunscreen.

On Wednesday, I went to my current dermatologist to have basal cell growths removed from my neck and right forearm. It is not the first surgical procedure for this one me, but hopefully the last. In addition, for the past 3 years, the dermatologist has been spraying my head and arms with liquid nitrogen to kill any pre-cancerous cells. Thankfully, it is basal cell and not melanoma.

So, unlike me, keep yourself protected and wear the sunscreen & hat while out in the sun.

Having said that, the doc says there is to be NO exercise for the next week. Doesn't want me to rip the stitches and destroy his handiwork. :) So, I am going to try to keep the calories at a minimum and focus on non-physical busy work.

OK, though very chilly, it is an absolutely beautiful day in middle Tennessee. Hope all of you are having a great Thursday. Every one keep focusing, keep exercising, and keep losing / maintainly the weight. God is good !!
