Windy Day's Journal, 17 Feb 24

Making this a *me* day. I need to re-charge mentally, spiritually, physically. Seems like everything I do is on a time slot and always needing to rush to get things done. That gets stressful. Not going to rush today. There are a few things I need to do but I am not going to put myself on any time schedules. When my husband was declining in health I bought a sign and hung it in our kitchen which said,"Dont count the days, make the days count". I remember the look on his face when he saw it and I really think he took it to heart. In a good way. I need to remind myself that time is precious and take time to smell the coffee, or roses, or God's beautiful fresh air. I've raised 5 children (and home-schooled them), 2 grandchildren, held down full time jobs, cared for mother and husband til they passed, been active in many ways. Still stay involved with grown kids and their families. I dont know HOW to slow down lol. Today Im going to try, haha. Hope everyone enjoys their day today. Every day is special.

I feel what you had to say and live it. Exactly the same way here. I'm a rat in wheel going nowhere. Enough work for 10 people. I so need time for myself. Day off? Never had one. Start taking them, GF. And enjoy your day.

Oh Morticia! {{{Hugs}}} I know you're plate is full as well. I so hear you on that wheel going nowhere. Work from morning til night every day and one day runs into the next. I haven't done much of anything special today. Went to the grocery store, puttered around the house. But at least I haven't felt pressured to rush. I hope you will take some time for yourself, my friend. 🫖🌹❤️
