Did a workout at home today. Planning on getting to the Gym tomorrow. It's supposed to put us on track, but Hubby made an appointment @ the Vet for Teddy on Monday. He's been having some issues with spitting up. We're not sure if his new heart meds might be upsetting his tummy or pancreatitis. He's also been peeing before we can get him outside sometimes. We've been putting a belly band on him at night & when we leave the house. We decided today to start putting it on him all the time. Of course, after we did that, he was able to hold it til we took him out. He's a little old man & is confused at times. His cataracts prevent him from seeing much other than light. It's hard to tell what he understands. I know he still gets excited at dinner time, barking & jumping around when he knows I'm getting it ready. He sleeps a lot of the day. Hubby has been talking about his quality of life, but I just can't go there. Since he's a small dog & looks healthy, it's hard to remember he's not a puppy anymore.

Kept the calories under 1700 today. I thought I was going to go over when Hubby handed me a licorice twizzler as we sat down to watch TV. I'd logged in my dessert already & thought I was closer than I was.

Need to get to the Grocery store tomorrow. The pantry & the fridge are getting pretty bare.

Time for bed. I keep trying to read our Book Club selection, but I keep falling asleep. It's a nonfiction book....Our Man In Tokyo....about the Ambassador to Tokyo leading up to the war. I prefer reading fiction, although I sometimes read a biography. It has some interesting facts but obviously not interesting enough to keep me awake.

I am interested somewhat. Hubby & I have been watching The Pacific on Netflix. That has held my interest....even all the War segments. And there are quite a few of those.

OK, enough lollygagging....really going to bed.

I had a sheltie that went to 15 1/2 but the last year or so he was mostly blind and had doggy dementia. He would be present and playful and then stop mid-play and look around all confused like he didnt know how he got there. He also slept a lot and so soundly and quietly that sometimes i thought he wasn’t breathing. It’s hard to tell about quality of life but if there is no pain…i always hold on too long. Good job working out from home girlie!
